2011 AQHA World Show
AQHA
is pleased to announce that the 2011 Farnam All-Around
Amateur is Lauren Eichstadt
of Greenville, Pennsylvania, who showed Its My
Lucky Detail. The 2001 bay gelding is owned by Madison
Eichstadt, also of Greenville. Its My Lucky Detail is by
Last Detail and out of Run To Seattle. The gelding was
bred by Larry and Linda Whitaker of Rogers, Arkansas.
Lauren and Its My Lucky Detail earned 39 points,
competing in three classes: They placed third in amateur
working hunter and amateur hunter hack, and were the
reserve champions in amateur equitation over fences.
Lauren and Its My Lucky Detail received a prize package
of $15,000; $1,000 in Farnam product; an embroidered
fusion contour western blanket, courtesy of AQHA
Corporate Partner WeatherBeeta; a rose bouquet; and a
Lisa Perry bronze.

2012 annual AQHA/PQHA Gettysburg Trail Ride will be
held again this year! It will be held on September 14-16

The General Membership
meeting that was scheduled for Saturday, Jan 21 has
been moved to Saturday, March 10 at 4 pm at Penn
State Ag Arena.
General Membership Meeting
Vote on By-Law Change as listed: 1. Move to
disband the Pennsylvania Amateur Quarter Horse
Association (PAQHA)
2. Move to transfer the PAQHA funds to PQHA
3. Form an Amateur Committee within PQHA with the
purpose of continuing the amateur programs
Horses and riders needed to participate in the
Winning Ways Clinic, March 10, 2012 at the Ag Arena,
Penn State University. We are seeking older youth or
adult riders with horses that are well broke, and
looking to further their instruction in the all-around
events. This is a chance to participate in a clinic with
a talented clinician and further your horsemanship
skills. There is no charge to ride in the clinic, and
stalling is available if needed for a nominal fee.

chosen based on experience, level or riding ability, and
the need for diversity within the demo horses.

Youth Recognized for Achievements in Pennsylvania 4-H
Team Horse Power and Horsemanship Skills Programs
Youth
from across Pennsylvania were recently recognized for
their achievements in the Pennsylvania 4-H Team Horse
Power and Horsemanship Skills Programs. The youth were
honored at the State 4-H Horse Show in Harrisburg. In
recognition of their service and achievement in these
programs the youth were introduced and presented with
medallions and or custom belt buckles. CLICK

The
Penn State University Horse Judging Team successfully
competed in the national Horse Judging Contest at the All -
American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio on October
19th, placing in the top
five in all divisions.
